Where is my 1099 tax form?

Your platform is responsible for determining who should receive a tax form and when they’ll be filed and delivered. Your 1099 tax form is located in the Tax Forms tab of Stripe Express by January 31st.

See below for reasons it may not be and how to fix.


When your platform has filed your 1099 tax form, you will be notified via email. If you’ve opted into paperless delivery, you’ll be able to view and download your form on the Tax Form page in Stripe Express.

After your platform delivers your 1099 tax form, you can view and download the form from the Tax Forms page in Stripe Express by clicking on View Form or by clicking on the ... icon. You'll be prompted to provide the last 4 digits of the TIN that appears on your 1099 tax form. After inputting the last 4 of your TIN, a new window will open with your 1099 tax form.

If you have any trouble with downloading your 1099 tax forms, we recommend trying with a different, trusted mobile phone or desktop.

Why did I receive a 1099 tax form?

If you have $5,000 USD in total gross volume in the previous calendar year—and you’re based in the US or are a US taxpayer—you should expect to receive a 1099-K, either through paperless delivery or paper mailing.

My 1099 tax form is incorrect. How do I make changes?

You can edit your name, TIN, and address in Stripe Express but you’ll need to reach out to your platform directly for changes to volume. Changes to the 1099 tax form can take up to 72 hours to be implemented.
