# Guide to 1099 tax forms for SeatGeek ticket sellers

You must be based in the US or be a US taxpayer to receive a 1099-K.
## What is Stripe Express, and how do I access it?
Stripe Express allows you to update your tax information, download your tax forms, and track your earnings. If you're a SeatGeek ticket seller and you have greater than 20,000 USD in total gross sales and 200 or more transactions in the previous calendar year through SeatGeek in the US, Stripe will send an email titled "Get your SeatGeek tax forms faster by enabling e-delivery", inviting you to create an account and log in to Stripe Express.
If you can't find that email, see [how to get a new invite link](https://support.stripe.com/express/how-do-i-get-a-new-invite-link).
If you still can't find your invite email, contact SeatGeek support for help.
## I no longer have access to the phone number I signed up with. How do I log in to my Stripe Express account?
If you've lost or updated your phone number, select **I no longer have access to this phone number** to authenticate via email and change your phone number. See I lost my phone or changed my number – how do I login to my account? for more information.
## I earned enough to need a 1099 form in the previous calendar year. Why haven't I received an email from Stripe?
If you earned enough to need a 1099 tax form in the previous calendar year, you should have received an email from Stripe by mid-January. Emails are sent in phases starting in November.
If you can't find an email from Stripe, it's possible that:
- The email may be in your spam or junk mail folder. Search your inbox for an email titled "Get your SeatGeek tax forms faster by enabling e-delivery".
- SeatGeek may not have your current email address on file. Check any other email addresses you used to sign up for SeatGeek, or contact SeatGeek to update it.
- The email address associated with your SeatGeek account is incorrect, missing, or unable to receive messages.
- SeatGeek has chosen to deliver forms by postal mail. If you haven't received an email from Stripe or a 1099 in the mail, contact SeatGeek to get a copy of your tax forms.
If you don't receive an email from Stripe by mid-January, Stripe will mail you a paper copy of your 1099 to the address on file.
## When will I receive my 1099 tax form?
If you've agreed to e-delivery, your 1099 tax form should be available by January 31 (plus up to 10 business days for mail delivery of a paper form).

## How do I enter my EIN instead of my SSN?
The tax details on your 1099 depend on the legal entity type SeatGeek set up for your account:

## How do I update my tax information?
Open the email from Stripe and click **Get started**, which will prompt you to create a Stripe Express account. After you create an account, you'll be able to review your tax information — name, address, and SSN or EIN — and make any necessary changes in Stripe Express.
Update your information no later than mid-January. If you don't agree to paperless delivery by mid-January, Stripe will automatically mail your 1099 tax form to the address on file. Make sure your information is current, correct, and complete.
If you need your tax form delivered to a PO Box, contact [SeatGeek support](https://support.seatgeek.com/hc/en-us).
If your 1099 reports your SSN and you want to use your EIN (or vice versa), contact [SeatGeek](https://support.seatgeek.com/hc/en-us) to update your legal entity information.
If you're operating as an individual, sole proprietorship, or single member LLC, the IRS expects to see the individual owner's name and SSN, not a business name and EIN, on your 1099 tax form.
## Issues with account claim security questions
Contact SeatGeek support to confirm the information they have on file matches what you're providing.
## Why is Stripe requesting my SSN, EIN, or ITIN?
Your SSN, EIN, or ITIN is required to file your 1099 tax form with the IRS and relevant state tax authorities.
## Is my tax information secure?
Stripe's security tools and best practices ensure your sensitive information is safely stored and encrypted. [Learn more](https://stripe.com/privacy-center/legal) about the safeguards we have in place. Make sure to keep your Stripe Express login credentials secure.
## How do I download my 1099 tax form?
After SeatGeek delivers your 1099 tax form, you can view and download it from the **Tax Forms** page in Stripe Express by clicking **View Form** or clicking the **...** icon. You'll be asked to enter the last four digits of the TIN on your 1099 tax form. After entering them, your tax form opens in a new window.
If you have trouble downloading, try a different device. [Log in to Stripe Express to download your tax form](https://connect.stripe.com/express_login).
## How do I get a corrected 1099 tax form?
If you need corrections made to a 1099 tax form that has already been filed, use the edit option on the **Tax Forms** page in Stripe Express. Information you edit won't appear in the existing 1099 in your Stripe Express dashboard, but it is shared with SeatGeek. Contact SeatGeek after you've made the edits you want. Once SeatGeek files your correction, Stripe notifies you by email and a new 1099 appears in your Stripe Express dashboard. It can take up to 72 hours after the platform files the correction for you to be notified.
