The current owner of a Stripe account can transfer ownership to someone else, depending on the user's existing account access and permissions. They might need to transfer ownership if someone is leaving their organization, or if the responsibility of Stripe account ownership is shifting.
For Stripe accounts in Brazil, the transfer of ownership is not allowed in case of individual or sole proprietorship accounts (linked to a CPF). Learn more about updating tax information in Brazil.
