Removing yourself as a team member
If you are a team member listed on a Stripe account, you can remove yourself from a Stripe account following these steps:
Log into your Stripe account.
Go to your profile page.
Scroll down to the “Accounts - the list of accounts to which you are a member" section of the page.
Click on the three dots on the right hand side of the page.
From the popup, click Leave Account.
From the warning popup, click Confirm and leave.
Your login access will be removed from the Stripe account.
Removing yourself as an owner
If you are an owner listed on the Stripe account, you cannot remove yourself from a Stripe account: You will need to transfer ownership of your Stripe account first.
Depending on your specific scenario, we would recommend following the instructions:
If the new owner is already an administrator on the account: Transfer ownership to an existing email on your account with admin privileges
If the new owner is already a team member but not an administrator on the account: Transfer ownership to an existing email on your account without admin privileges
If the new owner does not yet have access to the account: Invite a new email address to your account and transfer ownership
Once you have transferred ownership on the Stripe account, you will become a team member and can follow the steps for removing yourself as a team member to remove your email address from the account.
