# Why is my balance no longer available for Instant Payouts?

When a payment is received, it appears as a pending balance in your Dashboard (minus any Stripe fees). **This balance is available to pay out instantly for up to 24 hours** or the creation time of your next scheduled payout, whichever comes first.
If an Instant Payout isn't manually initiated within that window, the funds are paid out according to your standard [payout schedule](https://stripe.com/docs/payouts#payout-schedule). Once a standard deposit is initiated, those funds aren't available for Instant Payouts and the Instant Payouts balance is updated accordingly. Monitor the status of your payouts on the [Payouts tab of the Dashboard](https://dashboard.stripe.com/payouts).
## Additional Information
* If you have a [2-day rolling automatic payout schedule](https://stripe.com/docs/payouts#2-day), you might have less than 24 hours to initiate an Instant Payout before the next payout is generated. Look at the creation time for past payouts to get a sense for when they're generated, or you move to a [manual payout schedule](https://stripe.com/docs/payouts#manual-payouts) to receive the full 24 hour initiation time.
* [Multi-currency settlement](https://docs.stripe.com/payouts/multicurrency-settlement) isn't supported. For example, an Instant Payout to a Canadian business must be in CAD.
