# Payout schedules FAQ

## What are payouts?
For you to receive funds, Stripe makes payouts to your bank account.
## Why haven’t I received my first payout?
See Waiting on your first Stripe payout? What you need to know
## When is my next regularly scheduled payout?&
The Balances page of the [Dashboard](https://dashboard.stripe.com/balance/overview) shows your estimated upcoming payouts.
## Why are my payouts slow?
Your payout schedule refers to how often Stripe sends money to your bank account. Where supported, payouts default to daily, but can be configured to weekly, monthly, or manual on the [Payouts tab of the Dashboard](https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/payouts) (admin access is required to configure the payouts).
However, the payouts schedule _doesn't_ control how long it takes your pending balance to become available. For example, if your account operates on a daily payout schedule with a 3 business day [payout speed](https://docs.stripe.com/payouts#payout-speed), Stripe pays out funds daily from transactions captured 3 business days earlier.
See [more details and country specific considerations](https://docs.stripe.com/payouts#payout-schedule). Additionally, [certain currencies](https://stripe.com/docs/payouts#minimum-payout-amounts) have a minimum payout amount that your available account balance needs to exceed before a payout can be initiated.
## Stripe says the payment has been paid, but it’s not in my bank account. Where is it?
Most banks will post received funds on the same day they are received. Sometimes, banks may take 2-3 additional days to post funds. Also, payouts on weekends or bank holidays won’t be accepted by your bank until the next business day.
## I set my payouts to “daily” or “manual” but the payout did not come the next day.
Your payout schedule refers to how often Stripe sends money to your bank account. For example, you can set the payouts to "daily" or to wait until you specify ("manual").
The payouts schedule _doesn't_ control how long it takes your pending balance to become available. For example, if your account operates on a daily payout schedule with a 3 business day [payout speed](https://docs.stripe.com/payouts#payout-speed), Stripe pays out funds daily from transactions captured 3 business days earlier.
## I can't initiate a payout because my balance is below the minimum payout threshold
If you’re using [multi-currency settlement](https://docs.stripe.com/payouts/multicurrency-settlement), some currencies will have a minimum payout threshold (for example, USD 250 or EUR 200). If your balance is below this amount and you're not expecting more payments in that currency, you have a few options:
Option 1: Convert the balance to another currency using instant currency conversion
If you have a primary settlement currency where you regularly receive payouts, you can convert the below-threshold balance into that currency using instant currency conversion:
1. Go to the [Balances](https://dashboard.stripe.com/balances) page, then click **Convert**.
1. On the conversion details page, select the currencies to convert and enter the amount.
1. Click **Submit**. You’ll see the funds instantly available in your balance.
The converted funds will be added to your primary currency balance and paid out on your normal payout schedule, regardless of the original currency's minimum threshold.
Option 2: Wait for additional payments
If you expect to receive more payments in that currency, your balance will eventually reach the minimum payout threshold and pay out automatically.
