# Stripe Dashboard mobile app – How to initiate a Standard or Instant Payout

## Initiate a Standard or Instant Payout
1. Log in to the Stripe Dashboard mobile app on your mobile device.
1. Navigate to the **Balances** tab at the bottom of the screen. You can also tap the add symbol **(+)** on the top right from any tab and select **Pay out funds**.
1. If you have a positive balance, you will see an option to initiate the payout process and can enter the amount that you want to pay out.
1. Complete your Standard or Instant Payout. For Instant Payouts, funds will usually appear in the associated bank account within 30 minutes.
**Note:** The time it takes for funds to appear in your account can vary depending on your industry, country of operation and whether it is your first payout. Learn more about [receiving payouts](https://docs.stripe.com/payouts).
## Additional information
