What happens when I disconnect a linked financial account?

When you link an account, you provide access to your bank. Stripe and our data sources then use this access to retrieve data about the accounts you specify. Some data sources may provide information about additional accounts that are associated with the same login or access method.

When you unlink an account, your merchant won't be able to access any information about the disconnected account, even if there are remaining accounts associated with the login or access method. However, Stripe and our data sources may continue to receive information about the account if you have linked other accounts associated with the same login or access method.

Once all accounts associated with the login or access method have been disconnected, Stripe and our data sources will stop receiving any data for the accounts.
