Transferring a Stripe account for a business acquired by a legal entity in a different country

If your business was acquired by an entity in a country that is different to the country in which your Stripe account is registered, you will need to:

  1. Transfer ownership to the new owner.

  2. The new owner should then create a new Stripe account with the new business country.

  3. The new owner can then contact Stripe Support to request a data transfer from the old account to the new account.
