The Dashboard’s Accounts to review page shows the status of connected accounts affected by any changes to verification requirements. To filter by country, click More filters > Verification requirement and then tick the box for the country you want to see. Here's a pre-filtered link for Singapore.

Deadlines
Custom:
- New Custom connected accounts created on or after 2 May 2024: Must meet the updated requirements during onboarding, except for Ultimate Beneficial Ownership (UBO). Otherwise, they won’t be able to accept payments.

Existing Custom connected accounts: All

on 7 January 2025. If they haven’t provided the required information, they won’t be able to receive payouts beginning 25 March 2025, and won't be able to accept payments starting from 8 April 2025.
All other connected accounts:
- New connected accounts created on or after 23 April 2024: Must meet the updated requirements, except for UBO. Otherwise, they won’t be able to accept payments.
- Existing connected accounts: If they haven’t provided the required information (other than UBO), they won’t be able to receive payouts beginning as soon as 30 September 2024 and won’t be able to accept payments beginning as soon as 21 October 2024.
Ultimate Beneficial Ownership (UBO) for all account types:
- New connected accounts created on or after 7 January 2025: Must meet the UBO requirements, otherwise, they won’t be able to accept payments.
- Existing connected accounts: If they haven’t provided the required UBO information, they won’t be able to make payouts beginning as soon as 28 January 2025 and won’t be able to accept payments beginning as soon as 18 February 2025.
Requirements for individual accounts will take effect on a rolling schedule. The dates listed above are the earliest possible deadlines.

Which accounts are affected?
The updated verification requirements apply to all connected accounts with the card_payments or transfers capability enabled in Singapore.
How can I see which of my accounts require updated information?
See the status of affected connected accounts in the new Accounts to review list in the Dashboard. To filter by country, click More filters > Verification requirement and then tick the box for the country you want to see.
What information is required to onboard new connected accounts in Singapore?

How do my existing accounts provide the new information required?
For connected accounts that have access to the Stripe Dashboard, to the Express Dashboard, or to the embedded notification banner, Stripe will contact the account directly with details about the business information they need to provide and the deadline to respond.

What new information do they need to provide?
- Business types and structures supported. We’re collecting company.structure to accurately model legal structures.
- Business and personal information collected. We’re updating the information collection and verification requirements for all businesses currently supported today.
- How business and personal information is verified. We’re updating our criteria for valid business and personal information, and introducing new error codes when we’re unable to accept or verify the information provided.
What happens if my connected accounts don’t provide the required information?
If an account doesn't provide the required information by the listed due date, their ability to accept payments and receive payouts will be paused:
- For Platform-loss liable connected accounts: Typically, they will no longer be able to make payouts 14 days after the due date has passed, and they will no longer be able to accept payments 28 days after the due date has passed.
- For all other types of connected accounts: Typically, they will no longer be able to make payouts immediately after the due date has passed, and they will no longer be able to accept payments 21 days after the due date has passed.
However, these timelines may vary for certain types of issues.
Why is Stripe updating verification requirements for these accounts?
Payments regulations aim to create a safer, more secure financial ecosystem by helping prevent crimes such as money laundering, fraud, and tax evasion. Stripe has certain Know Your Customer (KYC) obligations that require us to collect, verify, and maintain identity information about our users, and for any individuals who ultimately own, control, or direct them. These requirements are frequently updated by Stripe, financial service regulators, card networks, and other financial institutions.
Will requirements continue to change?
Yes. As regulatory requirements evolve globally, we expect our onboarding requirements to continue changing as well. If you use embedded onboarding components or Stripe-hosted onboarding, we’ll automatically update your onboarding flow to handle the latest verification requirements. If you use API-based onboarding, you’ll need to manually modify your onboarding flow whenever requirements change. Learn more about the different onboarding methods in our documentation.
