Account recovery without two-step authentication device or recovery code
I’m locked out of my Stripe account and don’t have my two-step authentication device or recovery code – what do I do?
There are a few ways to regain access to your Stripe account if you no longer have your two-step authentication device or recovery code.
- Log in with your email address and password.
- Click “Try another way to log in” when prompted to enter your two-step authentication code.
- Click on “Use your recovery code” and enter the backup code in the Emergency Code field to disable two-step authentication. As a reminder, the emergency/recovery code was shown to you when you set up two-step authentication or if you regenerated a new one.
Submit a request through our account recovery form. You’ll be asked to provide detailed information to confirm your identity, and the process will take 1-3 business days.
Generate a new code from your profile settings by clicking “Two-step authentication settings.” The recovery code should be written down and stored in a safe place.
