If your platform has partnered with Stripe to collect tax information and delivery preferences, you may have received the email below. If you didn’t receive it but want to access Stripe Express, please follow these instructions. Keep in mind that not all platforms use Stripe Express for tax form delivery.

The email will prompt you to click “Confirm Information,” which will guide you through account creation by verifying details such as your phone number, email address, first name, last name, the last 4 digits of your personal tax ID*, and date of birth.

*Your Tax ID number depends on your employment type and where you live. Examples of Tax IDs include the SSN, SIN, TIN, NINO, and TFN.

Once you’ve successfully created your account, you’ll be asked to confirm your tax information, which will appear on the tax form that you receive from your platform. You’ll also be prompted to choose either paperless delivery or postal delivery for the delivery of your tax form.

You’re all set! After creating a Stripe Express account, you’ll be able to review your tax information and make any necessary changes from the Tax forms or Account settings pages. Please refer to these instructions for updating your tax information in Stripe Express.

If you were not able to successfully verify your tax information, we may need to ask you a few questions to help us verify your identity. If the information you provide doesn’t match our records, please contact your platform to check if your information is up to date.
