# Guide to 1099 tax forms for Instacart Shopper **Tax forms from 2023 onwards are not available in Stripe Express.** See the table below for where to find your forms. You'll need to access them through the Instacart Shopper app. See the [Instacart Shopper site](https://shoppers.instacart.com/help/help_center/login) for more details. ## Making changes to your 1099 tax form You can review and edit your tax information directly in the Instacart Shopper app. You will not be able to edit your tax information in Stripe Express. If your 1099 reports your SSN and you want to use your EIN (or vice versa), contact [Instacart support](https://shoppers.instacart.com/help/help_center/login) to update your legal entity information. If you're operating as an individual, sole proprietorship, or single member LLC, the IRS expects to see the individual owner's name and SSN — not a business name and EIN — on your 1099. ## Accessing your 1099 for 2021 or 2022 If you earned $600 or more through Instacart in 2021 or 2022 as an independent US contractor, you should have received an email inviting you to create a Stripe Express account. If you can't find that email, you can [request a new invite link](https://support.stripe.com/express/how-do-i-get-a-new-invite-link). If you still can't locate your invite, contact [Instacart support](https://shoppers.instacart.com/help/help_center/login) for help accessing your 1099 or updating your email address. ## Downloading your 1099 for 2021 or 2022 If you've already created a Stripe Express account and opted in to e-delivery, log in to [Stripe Express](https://express.stripe.com), select the year you want, and click **View Form** to download. You'll need to enter the last four digits of the TIN on your 1099 before downloading. ## Getting a corrected 1099 for 2021 or 2022 If you need corrections made to a 1099 that has already been filed, edit your details directly in the [Instacart Shopper app](https://shoppers.instacart.com/help/help_center/login) and then contact Instacart to request a correction. Once Instacart files the correction, you'll be notified by email and a new 1099 will appear in your Stripe Express dashboard. It can take up to 48–72 hours after Instacart files the correction for you to be notified. Before downloading your corrected form, you'll need to have opted in to e-delivery and entered the last four digits of the TIN on the 1099. If you didn't opt in to e-delivery and would prefer your corrected 1099 mailed to you, contact Instacart for assistance. ## My account is deactivated or suspended If your Instacart account has been deactivated or suspended, you may still be able to access your tax forms by contacting [Instacart support](https://shoppers.instacart.com/help/help_center/login) directly with the email address associated with your account. If you can't log in to Stripe Express or see a message saying no account is associated with your email, your Stripe Express account may not have been set up before your Instacart account was deactivated. In this case, contact [Instacart support](https://shoppers.instacart.com/help/help_center/login) and ask them to provide your tax forms directly. ## Instacart told me to contact Stripe Stripe is not able to access or resend Instacart tax forms on your behalf. If Instacart support has directed you to Stripe, ask them to escalate your request internally, or ask them to contact Stripe directly on your behalf referencing your Stripe support ticket number if you already have one. ## I can't access the phone number I signed up with If you've lost or changed your phone number, select **I no longer have access to this phone number** to authenticate via email and update your number. See I lost my phone or changed my number — how do I log in to my account? for more information. ## Issues with account claim security questions Contact [Instacart support](https://shoppers.instacart.com/help/help_center/login) to confirm the information they have on file matches what you're providing. ## Why is Stripe asking for my SSN, EIN, or ITIN? Your SSN, EIN, or ITIN is required to file your 1099 tax form with the IRS and relevant state tax authorities. ## Is my tax information secure?
