# Supported payment methods, currencies and businesses for Stripe accounts in India

### Stripe accounts in India support Visa, Mastercard and American Express for domestic and international payments. Transactions initiated from the Stripe Dashboard are not allowed for accounts based in India. Supported business entities for Stripe accounts in India include companies, limited liability partnerships and sole proprietorships, but support is not available for non-profit entities, non-governmental organisations or simple partnerships.

For domestic & international payments in India, Stripe supports Visa and Mastercard (including Maestro) as well as American Express (Amex). Please note that there are some restrictions for processing through AMEX.
We do not support local payment methods (LPMs). Transactions initiated from the Stripe Dashboard are also not allowed for accounts based in India
## Google Pay and Apple Pay are unavailable for merchants and customers in India on Stripe Checkout and Stripe Elements.

* Stripe currently supports any business entity based in India that is a company, limited liability partnership (LLP) or sole proprietorship (for both domestic payments and exports), or individual (for domestic only; international transactions are not supported for individuals).
* We currently do not support non-profit entities, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) or simple partnerships, as well as these [restricted businesses](https://stripe.com/in/restricted-businesses).
* We currently don't support equated monthly instalments (EMIs).
