Because issuers and card brands charge lower rates for "card present" transactions, Stripe is able to pass on these lower rates to customers. Stripe's pricing for Terminal card transactions is lower than our pricing for online card transactions.

When a card is presented and used immediately, you will get Stripe's lower pricing for "card present" transactions. When a card is saved for later reuse, the transaction will be priced at Stripe's normal rates for online card transactions.
