Our Connect product is a powerful API and set of tools used to route payments between a business, customers, and recipients who need to get paid. It powers payments for business models like marketplaces and software platforms.
There are certain restrictions on Connect for Stripe India that you should be aware of:
We only support Standard and Custom Connect (Express is not supported yet)
We do not support on behalf of capability for destination charges on Custom connect
Separate charges and transfers charge type is supported for limited use-cases. Please reach out to our support team if you are interested in this feature
Manual payouts to connected accounts is supported for limited use-cases. Please reach out to our support team if you are interested in this feature
Top-ups to your platform account are only supported for negative balances
Cross border transactions are supported only for standard connect users with direct charges and without application fee
Due to India data local storage requirements, we do not support updating country to or from India after account creation. You will need to create a new connected account and select the revised country upon account creation

Domestic charges (INR) and export (international) charges (non-INR) are supported with all plug-ins including Shopify, Chargebee, Magento, and WooCommerce.
