# How to reset account claim attempts for connected accounts

Custom connected accounts will be asked to confirm who they are in order to access their 1099s via e-delivery. If the connected account is locked out of the account claim page due to too many unsuccessful attempts the platform account can reset the account claims.
### Reset connected account claim attempts
To reset a connected account's claim attempts:
1. Go to the **1099 tab** of the [Tax Forms dashboard](https://dashboard.stripe.com/connect/taxes/forms).
1. Find the connected account's **Account claim status**.
1. If the status is **Not claimed, no attempts left**:
* Click the three-dot menu in the upper right.
* Select **Reset account claim attempts**.
1. If the status is **Not claimed** and the account is having access issues:
* Check that you have the most up-to-date information on file for the account. If required, send a new pre-filing confirmation invite to the connect account.
Once the account is successfully claimed, the status will update to **Claimed** in the Tax Forms dashboard.
