# Find the Payout Trace ID to help your bank track a missing payout

### What is a Payout Trace ID?
A Payout Trace ID is a unique ID generated by Stripe's partner bank for your payouts. It allows you and your bank to track your payouts. **Banks may call this a "Reference number."**

If an expected payout hasn't landed in your bank account after 5 business days, contact your bank for an update. You'll need to provide the following information: bank account details, date expected, exact amount, and payer (Stripe).
