Find the Payout Trace ID to help your bank track a missing payout

What is a Payout Trace ID?

A Payout Trace ID is a unique ID generated by your bank for your Stripe payouts. It allows you and your bank to track your payouts. Banks may call this a "Reference number."

What is it for?

A Payout Trace ID can help your bank track a missing payout.

If an expected payout has not landed in your bank account after 5 business days, contact your bank for an update. You will need to provide the following information: bank account details, date expected, exact amount, and payor (Stripe). Use the Dashboard if needed to find date expected and exact amount.

It is helpful to provide your bank the Payout Trace ID for your expected payout.

How do I find my Payout Trace ID?

  1. In your Stripe dashboard, click on the Payouts tab of the Balances page
  2. Click on the specific payout you need to trace
  3. Scroll down to the Overview section and locate the Payout Trace ID line
