When will I receive my 1099 tax form?

If you've agreed to e-delivery, you should receive your 1099 tax form by 31 January.

Timelines will vary by platform, but we've outlined all events that may occur between October and January:

We strongly recommend that you ensure that all of your tax information (e.g. name, address, Social Security number or Employer Identification Number) is up to date in Stripe Express at all times. Doing so will reduce the likelihood of potential errors in your 1099 tax forms.

1099-MISC and 1099-NEC forms are generally only issued to individuals or businesses who have met the US$600 income threshold for that year. If you have earned less than US$600 over the course of the calendar year, you might not be eligible to receive a 1099-MISC or 1099-NEC tax form.

1099-K forms are generally only issued if the gross amount of total reportable payments exceeds US$20,000 and the total number of such transactions exceeds 200 in a calendar year – and you're based in the US or are a US taxpayer – you should expect to receive a 1099-K, either through paperless delivery or paper post.
