Once your platform files your 1099 tax form with the IRS, your form will be available on the Tax Forms page within Stripe Express, provided you’ve agreed to e-delivery.

With paperless delivery, or electronic delivery, your 1099 tax form will be available in Stripe Express as an electronic copy, instead of a paper copy.

Once your platform files your 1099 tax form with the relevant tax authorities, you’ll be notified via email that your form is ready, provided you’ve agreed to paperless delivery. You can follow the link in the email to the Stripe Express Tax Form page where you’ll be able to view and download your 1099 tax form.

You will be prompted to opt in to paperless delivery when you first start setting up your Stripe Express account. Alternatively, you can opt in after you’ve set up your account by selecting the prompt directly within the Tax Forms page.

Once your 1099 tax form is available, you will receive an email alerting you. You can retrieve your 1099 tax form by following the link in your email or by logging in to Stripe Express.

Simply head to the Tax Forms page and click on your 1099 tax form to view or download your form. To change between tax years, click on the year.

Choosing paperless delivery allows you to use Stripe Express as a quick and secure way to access and store your 1099 tax forms. Postal mailed 1099 tax forms typically take up to 10 days to arrive after a platform files and delivers them.
