When will I receive my 1099 tax form?

If you’ve agreed to E-delivery, you should receive your 1099 tax form by January 31.

Timelines will vary by platform, but we’ve outlined all events that may occur from October through January:

We strongly recommend that you ensure all of your tax information (e.g., name, address, Social Security number or Employer Identification Number) is up to date in Stripe Express at all times. Doing so will reduce the likelihood of potential errors in your 1099 tax forms.

1099-MISC and 1099-NEC forms are generally only issued to individuals or businesses who have met the $600 income threshold for that year. If you earned less than $600 over the course of the calendar year, you might not be eligible to receive a 1099-MISC or 1099-NEC tax form.

1099-K forms are generally only issued if accounts have $5,000 USD in total gross volume in the previous calendar year —and you're based in the US or are a US taxpayer—you should expect to receive a 1099-K, either through paperless delivery or paper mailing.

**Note - prior to calendar year 2024, the 1099K threshold applied to accounts being based in the U.S. and having $20,000 USD in total gross volume and 200 transactions.
