Tax ID Number (TIN) format is different than Stripe’s suggested TIN format

If your tax ID number (TIN) does not look like the example TIN shown in your account for your country’s TIN format and is not able to be verified, you may be attempting to enter a TIN that is registered in a different country. You must have a TIN (or government-issued ID number, if individual or sole proprietor) registered in your country of business in order to use Stripe.

Since you cannot change the country set for your account once it is submitted, you will need to create a new account in the country in which your TIN is registered.
