Verifying your business address

Stripe requires customers to complete a "Know your customer" (KYC) process which includes verifying their business address with required documentation, such as rental agreements, utility bills and tax returns. We may ask for extra documentation to verify addresses that cannot be automatically verified without it.

"Know your customer" (KYC) obligations require Stripe to verify that account holders are operating from the business addresses that they provided in their account application.

To verify your business address automatically, ensure that all fields are filled in and formatted correctly in your Stripe Dashboard.

For addresses that we are not able to verify independently, we might request additional documentation that will allow us to complete the verification process.

Acceptable documentation for business address verification

Below are examples of documentation that we can accept for the purpose of this verification. All documents must include either the name of your business or the name of the owner of the Stripe account.
