If you are a Corporation, Registered Charity or Non-Profit Organisation, Stripe may be required to verify your business and your directors’ information.
To verify your business, Stripe will check the business name and business address on your account against information available with the provincial and/or federal registries of businesses. To verify the information on directors (members of your business’s governing board) you have submitted on your account Stripe will check the name of each director and number of directors listed on the registry. If your directors’ information submitted to Stripe cannot be found, does not completely match the information in the registry, or if your business name or address submitted to Stripe does not completely match the name and address listed on the registry of businesses, you will have to update the information with the registry or review the information provided to Stripe.
If the business information in your Stripe account is incorrect (e.g. it includes a typo or other error), you can update it via the Dashboard and we’ll try again to verify it automatically. If the information provided is accurate, you can complete the verification check by uploading an acceptable document.
Please see the “Company/Entity” tab on the acceptable verification documents page for a list of acceptable documents to complete Company/Entity Verification. You will need to submit a document that contains the business name and business address which matches the name and address on the Stripe account. Please note that Stripe requires a valid physical Canada address and we cannot accept a PO Box as a valid business address.

You will need to submit a document that accurately lists all directors and matches the directors entered on Stripe account. Please ensure that the document being uploaded clearly identifies which individuals are directors.
