Radar and Terminal both offer protection and prevention in different ways. Radar is not currently available for Terminal. Stripe Radar helps detect and block fraud for your online transactions. Stripe Terminal is EMV-enabled to help protect you against payments from fraudulent and counterfeit cards. When you use Stripe Terminal, the bank is liable for any fraudulent-type disputes filed.
Merchants who use chip-capable terminals to accept payment cards are not liable for any fraudulent-type disputes filed.
All Stripe Terminal readers are chip-capable.
Disputes for reasons other than "fraudulent" are not covered by the EMV liability shift. You are still liable for other dispute types.
