How can I get started using the Stripe Connector for NetSuite?

What use-cases are supported by the connector?

What’s required to migrate my existing Stripe customers with the connector?

Minimal migration work is required on your part. A CSV file containing a comprehensive list of customers with their Stripe and NetSuite IDs will be required during onboarding. Speak with the implementation partner for more details.

Does the connector contact our customers in any way?

No. The connector never sends emails or any communication to your customers. Email notifications are controlled in your Customer emails settings.

Is using more than one Stripe account with the connector supported? Are multiple NetSuite Subsidiaries supported?

Yes. Multiple Stripe accounts are supported, and multiple subsidiaries are supported if you are using NetSuite OneWorld. Each subsidiary in NetSuite is associated with a specific Stripe account. When processing a payment on a sales order, invoice, etc., the Stripe account associated with the subsidiary of the customer is used.

For example:

  1. A US and CA subsidiary is set up in NetSuite. There's a Stripe account for each subsidiary.
  2. An invoice is created for a customer associated with the US subsidiary.
  3. A payment is processed through the NetSuite invoice payment page
  4. Even if the currency of the invoice is CAD, the payment is processed in the USD Stripe account.
  5. When the payout is sent to the US bank account, and the exchanged amount in USD is recorded in the NetSuite bank deposit.

How can I manage our connector? Who has access?

You can login to your account’s dashboard at https://dashboard.stripe.com/test/settings/apps/com.stripe.netsuite-connector or, if on the legacy system https://dashboard.suitesync.io/login. Anyone with Administrator permissions on your Stripe account has access to the connector.

Can the connector allow you to pay vendors via Stripe as well?

It depends on how you're using Stripe Connect. If you use or plan to use Connect please bring this up during your discussions with Stripe sales or with our onboarding partner.

Can I use connector with Stripe Tax?

Yes. There are several ways that taxes can be configured depending on how you configure taxes with Stripe and NetSuite, and this will be an important point of discussion during the onboarding process.
