Accounts set up as individual or sole proprietorships, which have previously been registered with a non-US representative, will need to provide updated business representative information, including a US TIN. If you do not have a US SSN, you can consider changing your business type to reflect your current company structure correctly.
For business owners who have registered their company with a government body, the appropriate business type on Stripe will probably now be "Company", with the specific business structure reflecting the method of incorporation. In contrast, unregistered entities will probably have to select "Individual" for their business type.
