Stripe requires identification to confirm that you are a representative of the business for which you are filing the application.

If you represent a business in Hong Kong and do not have a HKID, we can accept another form of government-issued identification.

Unfortunately, we can’t accept non-HK ID numbers for merchants signing up as individuals. If you don't have a HKID, but do have a Business Registration Number (BRN), please select ‘Sole Proprietorship’ when activating your Stripe account.
