Qualifying payments for Chargeback Protection

Chargeback Protection generally applies to all card payments as long as they meet all the following conditions:

  • You must be currently enrolled in Chargeback Protection. This means that Chargeback Protection doesn apply to payments you receive prior to enrolling in Chargeback Protection or payments you receive after your enrollment in Chargeback Protection ends.
  • You must be in compliance with our Terms of Service for Chargeback Protection and with your agreement with Stripe.
  • You must not have overridden Chargeback Protection’s decision for that payment through an allow rule.
  • The payment must be submitted to Stripe by your customer via Stripe Checkout. For subscriptions, if they are started using Stripe Checkout and charged at sign up the initial payment is protected by Chargeback Protection. Trials that are charged at a later time and future recurring payments on any subscriptions are not protected.

Once your business is approved, we will reimburse you for any eligible disputes (subject to the criteria above) you received during that time and waive any related dispute fees.
