You can use your Google account to sign up for or log in to Stripe. To log in with a Google account:
- Go to the Dashboard login page.
- Choose which Google account you want to continue with.
- Use your Google account credentials to log in to your account.
You can use sign in with Google functionality with an existing account by updating your Profile settings in the Dashboard.
Forgotten, lost, or changed Google login credentials
Contact Google support to recover your credentials. Stripe support isn't able to help you recover your Google login credentials. You can set a password for your Stripe account to ensure that you have a backup method of logging in. Do this through the Dashboard under your Profile settings.
Link your existing Stripe account to your Google account
- Sign in to Stripe using your current method and go to your user profile.
- In the Manage your Google Account section, select Connect Google Account.
- Complete the Stripe account verification step.
- Click Continue in the Connect your Google account window.
- Select the Google account email address that matches your current Stripe account email address.
- Once you link your Google account, you can log in to the Stripe Dashboard with either your Google credentials or your Stripe password.
Logging in to the Stripe mobile app
We don't support Google login credentials in the mobile app. To login on mobile, confirm that you have set a password for your Stripe account. This can done from the Profile page in the Dashboard.
Handling login errors
When signing into Stripe using your Google account, you might occasionally encounter the error message: "Your Google account couldn't be authenticated because of a technical issue. Please try again shortly." Follow How to handle Sign in with Google errors to resolve.
Having issues when prompted to sign in to Google again
You may be prompted to reauthenticate with Google to confirm your identity when using certain features in the Stripe Dashboard. If you're experiencing issues with this process, it could be due to:
- Private browsing mode: If you're using private browsing on a mobile device, such as Safari's Private Browsing or Chrome's Incognito mode, reauthentication may not function properly due to browser security restrictions. To resolve this, try:
- Using standard browsing mode instead of private browsing
- Using a desktop browser if available
- Pop-up blockers: Disable pop-up blockers for the Stripe Dashboard, as the reauthentication process uses pop-ups to verify your identity.
- Browser compatibility: Some older browsers may not fully support the authentication methods used. Try updating your browser to the latest version.
