Adding Custom Columns

When exporting reports, you can also have the option of having multiple metadata fields included in your reports, including card brand, product description, and country of customer, among other fields. To do this,

  1. On the top right corner of the Payment page, click Export

  1. In the resulting view’s Column section, click Custom and ensure that the desired metadata columns are checked

If you have any custom metadata columns added to your payments, these columns will be included in the exports by default. Though metadata is not explicitly listed on the available columns, exporting the report will automatically include the metadata.

If you have examined the available columns (make sure to select ‘All’ columns to review all the available data) and can’t find what you’re looking for there are two options.

First option: If the data does not currently exist in Stripe, you could consider adding this information as Metadata to customers, payments or other data within Stripe. You can then export this metadata alongside the customers, charges, or other data it relates to.

Second option: If the information already exists within Stripe, or you’re simply looking for more advanced options for analyzing all available information, you can consider using Stripe Sigma to write custom SQL queries across your data.
