# Instant Payouts for Express accounts

Instant Payouts allow eligible accounts to receive funds from their Stripe balance within 30 minutes, any day or time. Funds are sent to an eligible debit card.

## How do Instant Payouts work for Express accounts?
For Express accounts, Instant Payouts are controlled by your platform. Your platform must initiate the payout. You can't trigger it yourself from the Stripe Express dashboard.
## Am I eligible for Instant Payouts?
Your platform decides whether Instant Payouts are available on your account. If you're unsure, contact your platform directly to confirm.
## Why don't I see an instant payout button?
There is no Instant Payout button, because your platform initiates the payout for you. You can't trigger it yourself from the Stripe Express dashboard.
If you see your account or debit card marked as "instant eligible," this refers to your account's capability, not something you can trigger. Contact your platform to confirm that Instant Payouts are enabled and to request a payout on your behalf.
## Which debit cards are eligible?
Instant Payouts require an eligible debit card. Not all card or bank account types are supported. If you've added a card and it isn't showing as eligible, contact your platform to confirm which account types they support.
## What if Instant Payouts used to work but don't anymore?
If Instant Payouts previously worked on your account but no longer do, contact your platform to confirm that the feature is still enabled and that your current card is eligible.
Instant payout eligibility can change if you update your debit card or bank account details. Your platform may also update your payout settings over time.
## What if my platform says to contact Stripe?
If your platform directs you to contact Stripe about instant payouts, ask them to reach out to Stripe on your behalf. Because instant payouts for Express accounts are managed at the platform level, Stripe will need to work with your platform directly to resolve most issues.
