Why was my Stripe account closed?

If your business does not comply with Stripe rules and we are unable to support it, you will be notified via email at the email address registered on your account. The email will state the reason your account was closed. Additionally, your Stripe Dashboard will show a red banner at the top with more information.

If you believe that we’ve misunderstood or miscategorised your business and would like us to conduct another review of your account, please complete the form linked in the email. It will direct you to your Stripe Dashboard to provide more information about your business.

Restricted Business List

Some businesses, products, and industries can’t use Stripe’s services. If our Restricted Business List covers your business, we won't be able to accept payments for you. See Prohibited and Restricted Business List - FAQs for more information.
