Klarna is one of the many Local Payment Methods (LPMs) offered via the Sources API, like Alipay, Bancontact and giropay. Klarna was shut down on the Sources API ahead of other LPMs because Klarna rolled out a new checkout experience that was only supported by the newer Payment Intents API.

Now, Stripe will be turning off the Sources API for all LPMs, which means that you will no longer have the ability to accept any LPMs by calling the Sources API. Instead, you will need to use the Payment Intents API.
