The Specified Commercial Transaction Act aims to protect the interests of consumers and facilitate appropriate and smooth distribution of goods and services in specified commercial transactions, including online transactions. Consumer Contract Act aims to protect consumers from fraudulent businesses and unfair practices by granting them the right to cancel contracts of specific conditions.
Per provision of the Revised Installment Sales Act, businesses must notify their credit card partners if they have been proven by the court of law of either: violating the Specified Commercial Transaction Act with the last five years; or violating the Consumer Contract Act.
