Generally, your customers may request to either 1) disconnect their account, 2) delete their data, or 3) both. You have the option to use the Disconnections API or our form to process a disconnection request. You must action deletion requests by deleting the relevant data from your databases and notifying us at email@example.com with the subject line, “Financial Connections: Request for Account Deletion”, or you may ask your customer to submit their request directly to Stripe through our form.
When the form is submitted, we will disconnect the user’s linked financial account from your business upon verifying their identity. Please see our merchant guidelines for additional details about your responsibilities related to disconnection and data deletion requests.
