Does Stripe offer the new UK Addendum to the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs)?

On 21 March 2022, the Information Commissioner's Office’s International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) and the much-expected amended addendum (UK Addendum) to the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses ( SCCs) came into force in the UK.

Stripe is committed to having appropriate safeguards and measures in place to accommodate international data transfers. We are reviewing the published documents and will be implementing the UK Addendum across Stripe contracts, where applicable. We will share updates and guidance to Stripe Users here shortly.

Rest assured the old SCCs (being the SCCs approved by the European Commission under the pre-GDPR regime) in place between Stripe and its UK Users remain valid and you may still obtain the old SCCs in the interim by contacting us.
