Stripe account country can’t be changed after activation

You can't change the country of a Stripe account, including connected accounts, in the following scenarios. If you need to change the country, you must create a new Stripe account.

  • The account is activated
  • The account has an authorized livemode charge
  • The account uses a shared legal entity
  • The account has applied to use Atlas
  • The account is a connected account without access to the full Dashboard

To check whether an account is activated, retrieve the account.details_submitted API property.
