If the current owner is no longer with the company or the Owner Administrator account is inaccessible, contact Stripe Support for assistance and provide the necessary documentation and authorization.

What should I do if the Owner Administrator account is inaccessible?
What you should do depends on if the Company Representative:
- Wants to transfer ownership to another user: We’ll need to call the Company Representative to verify their personally identifiable information (PII) and get their authorization to transfer ownership.
-
Is not available: We will need a letter from a company signatory, which confirms and details the change of Company Representative and the transfer of ownership of the Stripe account. We strongly recommend that the person who holds the title of Company Representative is also the person who controls the Owner Administrator login for the Stripe account.
- The letter should be on your company's letterhead and authorize the appointment of the new Company Representative, as well as the transfer of ownership to a specified user. Please include the following information:
- Business name
- Business tax ID
- Business address
- Previous Company Representative’s name and date of birth if available
- New Company Representative’s name and date of birth
- New Owner Administrator’s email address that they'll use to log into Stripe
- We ask that the signatory on this letter is not the same person who is being appointed as the new Company Representative. For example, if the CEO is being appointed as Company Representative, have a board member or other member of the C-suite sign and authorize the letter.
