Dissolving your company

Even if you are not operating your company anymore, you may still be required to file taxes every year until it has been dissolved. A final filing of taxes may also be required for the year in which your company is dissolved. It's a good idea to work with an accountant to confirm your tax obligations.

  1. Choose a service to help you dissolve your company. Atlas partners with three solutions, but you can use any service you'd like:

  2. Download your formation documents from the company section of your Stripe Dashboard.
  3. Contact your bank to close your bank account.
  4. Close your Stripe account. When you close your Stripe account, we cancel your registered agent subscription on your behalf so that you are not charged upon renewal.
    1. You can also cancel your registered agent subscription from the Dashboard without closing your account.
    2. If you dissolved your company via Legalinc, Atlas will cancel your registered agent subscription automatically once the dissolution is complete.
