You can choose whether or not to link a financial account to your merchant and Stripe, and which financial account(s) you’d like to link. If you choose to link an account, Stripe can access any of the information that your financial institution makes available. However, we will limit your merchant’s access to only the information they request. We will disclose what types of information your merchant has requested in the authentication flow, and you will have to provide consent before we share this information with your merchant.

Merchants specify and request the financial information types they need in order to provide you with an enhanced product experience, and they will disclose why they need these information types. You may then opt to link your account(s) to share the requested information, or you may opt out of information sharing altogether. You can also choose to revoke previously granted access and unlink from the merchant.
