# Shutdown of the legacy Sources API for non-card payment methods

The [Sources API](https://stripe.com/docs/sources) is a legacy payments integration used to accept both card payments and non-card payment types. Stripe is disabling the ability for users to accept non-card payment types via the Sources API and requiring that our users migrate to the [Payment Intents API](https://docs.stripe.com/payments/payment-intents) instead.
