# Why do my connected accounts need reverification?

Connected accounts must be reverified periodically due to:
* **Volume thresholds:** At certain processing volume thresholds, reverification is required to comply with financial regulations and risk management practices.
* **Regulatory requirements:** Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations may require reverification of account information.
* **Risk signals:** If Stripe detects unusual activity or risk signals on an account, reverification may be requested.
* **Verification expiration:** Expired verification documents or information need to be updated.
* **Capability changes:** If a connected account wants to add new capabilities, such as accepting additional payment methods, they may need to reverify.
* **Information inconsistencies:** If there are discrepancies in the account information, Stripe may request reverification to resolve them.
For a list of accounts that require reverification, navigate to your [Connected accounts Dashboard page](https://dashboard.stripe.com/connect/accounts) and filter **Account status** to **Restricted soon**. Click on an account to view its specific reverification requirements in the **Actions required** section.
