# Why are my Credit Transfer funds being returned to customers?

The SEPA Credit Transfer (SEPA CT) and ACH Credit Transfer (ACH CT) payment methods were deprecated. See details on each payment method’s deprecation below.
Funds sent to these outdated accounts are automatically returned to the sender. Notifications about these returns aren’t sent because Stripe considers these accounts dormant and will automatically reject incoming transfers.
### SEPA Credit Transfers
After the migration to Bank Transfers, Stripe issued new bank account details for all your existing users. Your customers should’ve been notified to use these new bank accounts. Stripe doesn’t support redirecting funds sent to existing SEPA CT bank accounts and will bounce any funds sent to these VBANs.
To avoid funds being returned:
* Ensure you’ve [migrated](https://docs.stripe.com/payments/customer-balance/migrating-from-sepa-credit-transfer) and created a cash balance for your customers.
* Ensure your customers are using the new bank account details.
### ACH Credit Transfers
Stripe maintained the same virtual account number for ACH CT customers after the migration to Bank Transfers. No communications or additional actions from your customers are required.
To avoid funds being returned:
* Ensure you’ve [migrated](https://docs.stripe.com/payments/customer-balance/migrating-from-sources) and created a cash balance for your customers. Future funds will be routed to the customer’s Cash Balance.
