# View Payment Records in the Dashboard

Payment Records are displayed in the [Dashboard Transactions list](https://dashboard.stripe.com/payments) and other payments-related list views across the Dashboard. Payment Records let you manage invoices that are fully, or partially, paid off Stripe alongside your on Stripe payments.
### What are Payment Records?
[Payment Records](https://docs.stripe.com/api/payment-record) represent any payment captured off Stripe (out of band) that Stripe is aware of. These payments appear similarly to payments captured on Stripe and give users a complete view of their payment volume in Stripe. Users can add the “processor” column to transaction views to distinguish between on Stripe and off Stripe payments.
### Why am I seeing Payment Records?
If you’re seeing Payment Records, you may’ve:
* Created a Payment Record by processing payments outside of Stripe using our multiprocessor capabilities.
* Marked an invoice as paid out of band.
### How do Payment Records work with Invoicing?
Invoices marked as paid out of band will show as a [Payment Record](https://docs.stripe.com/api/payment-record) in the Dashboard where you ordinarily see payments captured on Stripe.
