Receiving USD Payouts for Singapore and Hong Kong Users

Frequently Asked Questions on USD payouts and USD bank accounts in Singapore and Hong Kong

I want to receive USD Payouts, how do I get started?

Currently, all Singapore and Hong Kong based merchants will be able to access this feature, with the exception of Custom and Express accounts. You can only add a USD bank account after you complete account activation.

To get started,

  1. Go to the payouts page and add a USD bank account, noting the associated fees** for doing so.

  1. After this, if you wish to, you can set USD as the default settlement bank for your account in the payouts page.

  2. Finally, you can refer to the settlement currencies page, to see the currencies that have been enabled for your account.

**To view the appropriate fees for your country, please select either “Singapore” or “Hong Kong” on the bottom left corner of the page.

I can’t add a USD bank account.

There are a few possible reasons this is happening:

  1. You are attempting to add USD banks during Account Activation.

Currently, You won’t be able to add USD bank accounts for Singapore and Hong Kong merchants during the account activation stage. You will only be able to add USD bank accounts after account activation.

For now, please add a locally denominated (HKD or SGD, whichever applies) bank account. After this, please do the steps listed in “I want to receive USD Payouts. How do I get started?” above.

  1. Your USD bank account is not based in Hong Kong or Singapore (whichever applies), or is a TransferWise, Virtual, or Neobank account.

We’re only able to support USD bank accounts based in Hong Kong or Singapore (whichever is the relevant country for you). Unfortunately, we currently do not support TransferWise bank accounts for this feature.

How can I change my default payout currency? How can I change my default payout bank account?

  1. Please ensure that your settlement currency is enabled here.

  2. You will then be able to change your default currency and default bank account in the payouts page.
