Understanding Stripe’s fee structure for international and refunded payments

To understand additional detail on how Stripe fees are assessed on refunded payments and international payments, follow the steps below in your Stripe Dashboard.

Refunds

While on a desktop or laptop computer, navigate to the “Reports” section of the Stripe Dashboard and ensure “Balance” is selected directly underneath the Search bar. On this page, you’re able to see what fees Stripe has previously returned to you for all refunded charges. This amount is displayed as “Fees returned” within the “Balance change from activity” module. Please note that this amount reflects returned fees during the time period selected near the top of the page.

International payments

Within the “Reports” section of the Dashboard, please click “Download” located at the top-right hand of the “Balance change from activity” module. Export your balance activity to a .CSV file, and ensure “Card country” is selected as a column. Any non-domestic cards processed for your business will be assessed an international card fee (included with standard processing fees within the “Fee” column).
