Stripe Data Pipeline charges a fee per transaction. This includes any instance in which your business or one of your connected accounts generates a card authorization or charge request to a payment card network or processes a transaction using an alternative payment method such as a bank payment.
Stripe Data Pipeline does not charge for multiple activities at different stages of the same underlying transaction. For example, a charge that is later refunded is only billed once. We don’t charge fees for activities conducted in test mode.

Frequently asked questions
Is a Stripe transaction the same thing as a data row?
No, a single transaction could have dozens of associated data rows. Data Pipeline allows you to access all Stripe data—including multiple underlying data tables, columns, and rows—that is available and associated with your transactions, as well as data not tied to individual transactions, such as customer data. Any updates to the same underlying transaction are not billed a fee again, such as a refund that is processed at a later date.
You can see a list of all datasets supported by Data Pipeline under the Datasets section of our schema documentation page. Dataset availability may vary by region and is subject to local product availability and regulations.
Is there a way to try Data Pipeline before purchasing it?
Yes, we offer a free 30-day trial that allows you to see how the data flows through your systems and review the data made available via Data Pipeline. At the end of the free trial period, you will automatically be placed on a paid plan unless you turn Data Pipeline off.
Will I incur additional costs with my warehouse after setting up Data Pipeline?
If you set up Data Pipeline as a direct integration with your data warehouse, there are no additional fees collected by your data warehouse to ingest Stripe data or to distribute that data internally to other teams or systems. There are no additional fees collected by your data warehouse to store Stripe data either, as long as it resides on the Stripe warehouse instance.
If you set up Data Pipeline using flat file delivery to your cloud storage destination, you will be responsible for managing storage costs in the destinations you own. You will only incur additional third-party costs for operations taken on the data, such as creating copies. These costs may vary, depending on file size and the fees charged by your cloud storage provider.
How will I be charged for Data Pipeline?
Once you have activated Data Pipeline, we will deduct product fees from your Stripe balance at the end of each month based on the total number of transactions in that month.
If you activate mid-month, your first month’s processing activity will only include processing from the date of activation until the end of the month.
You can turn off Data Pipeline at any time from the Dashboard settings page by clicking Turn off. After you disconnect, you lose access to your data share immediately, and you will no longer be charged.
