# Understanding changes to your payout timezone in Asia-Pacific

**What’s changing?**
We’re making some changes to ensure that payouts for users based in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, better align with their business location and timezone.
Once the migration is complete, payouts will reflect the payments processed within midnight to midnight in the account’s local APAC timezone instead of the default UTC timezone.
**Why are we making this change?**
We’re changing your timezone from the default UTC timezone to align with your account’s local timezone for easier reconciliation of your payouts, since you're processing payments in the APAC region.
Based on user feedback, we hear that it becomes much easier to track and understand your earnings when your payouts are reflected in your local business timezone.
**What do you need to do?**
This change will be applied automatically to your account—there's nothing you need to do.
Following the change, users may notice a slightly smaller payout on one day. This is because the payout may not reflect a full 24-hour period as a result of the change.
If you wish to customize your payout timezone please refer to [our guide](https://docs.stripe.com/payouts/customized-start-of-day).
