Troubleshoot missing payment methods
Customers using dynamic payment methods may not see certain payment methods due to their country, currency, transaction amount, or payment flow.
Use the Dashboard payment method troubleshooting tool to investigate why a specific payment method is missing for a customer. The tool helps troubleshoot missing payment methods by showing which methods are available or hidden to customers in different scenarios.
Use the troubleshooting tool
- Open the tool on the Stripe Dashboard.
- If you have multiple payment method configurations, select the relevant configuration.
To troubleshoot different payment scenarios:
- Click Order amount and currency.
- Enter relevant scenario information.
- Click Review.
To troubleshoot a specific transaction:
- Click Transaction ID.
- Enter the PaymentIntent ID or Checkout Session ID.
- Click Go.
The tool displays which payment methods are available or hidden to the customer in the selected payment scenario or transaction. It also provides reasons why certain payment methods are hidden.
